Information MatchFolk may collect

Project selections and notes, project photos, approximate location or postal code, project timing and readiness, your name, phone number, email address, preferred contact method and preferred language. Contractor applications may also include business and service information.

Why we collect it

We use this information to review project requests, assess whether a request appears relevant to available professionals, communicate with you, operate the referral workflow, prevent misuse, and improve the service.

Sharing with service professionals

When you submit a homeowner project and provide the required consent, MatchFolk may share project details and your contact information with up to three relevant local service professionals so they can contact you about the project. MatchFolk does not need to share a homeowner's contact details with every professional considered for a project.

Project photos

Photos are used to provide project context. Before upload, avoid including unrelated private documents, people who have not agreed to be photographed, licence plates, financial information or other sensitive information that is not needed for the project.

Storage, service providers and retention

MatchFolk may use third-party providers for website hosting, data storage, email delivery, analytics and form processing. We limit collection and retention to information reasonably needed to operate the service, respond to requests, maintain records and meet applicable legal obligations.

Your choices

You may contact MatchFolk to ask about access, correction or deletion of personal information where applicable, or to withdraw consent for future sharing where the information has not already been disclosed for the requested purpose.
