MatchFolk's role

MatchFolk provides project-intake, referral and matching support. MatchFolk does not perform demolition, renovation or other home-service work directly and is not the contractor for a homeowner project.

No guarantee of a match or quote

Submitting a project does not guarantee that a professional will accept the opportunity, contact you, attend a site visit or provide a quote.

Homeowner choice

Homeowners decide whether to contact, meet with, hire or enter into an agreement with any professional. Submitting a project does not create an obligation to hire.

Professional responsibility

Professionals are responsible for their own availability, representations, licences or registrations that apply to their work, insurance, site assessment, scope, pricing, estimates, contracts, permits, safety and performance of the work. Any service contract is between the homeowner and the professional unless expressly stated otherwise in writing.

Information provided

Users should provide accurate information and should not submit content they do not have the right to share. Project photos and descriptions should be relevant to the project.

Referral relationships

MatchFolk may have commercial referral arrangements with participating professionals, including fees connected to leads, opportunities or completed work. Those arrangements do not require a homeowner to hire a particular professional.
